Health Blogger with Wellsphere

You might notice the "Top Health Blogger" award to the right top of my page. Recently a person by the name of Dr. Rugledge left a comment on my blog saying that he skimmed my post and thought I would be a good addition to the Wellsphere community.

Here is what they say in the form e-mail that he sent me after I said I was interested in looking into it more:

My name is Dr. Geoff Rutledge, and I am delighted to invite you to join Wellsphere's HealthBlogger Network, the world's premier network of health writers, including nearly 2,000 of the Web's leading health bloggers! We carefully reviewed your blog, and based on the high quality of your writing, the frequency of your posts, and your passion for helping others, we think you would be a great addition to the Network.

Not to be negative Nancy BUT I am not a great writer, I work with GREAT writers, journalist, speech writers and beyond and I know what good writing is and it is not what I do. So I will go with the characterisitcs that I blog fairly often and I have a passion for helping others which is absolutely true. Maybe this will inspire me to come up with a few more thought provoking posts that we can discuss and get feedback on. Hmmm, where oh where will this take me. Only time will tell.

I am still looking into it to get the details but the basis is that I am part of the "Healthy Living" community and they will link to my blog and blogposts so that they can be read by a larger audience. Wellsphere has many different communities but all associated with a healthy life. He originally proposed that I be a part of the marathon community. I was flattered but told him that I am not a marathon life timer and that the marathon was just a stop on my journey to even more health and fitness goals. He then thought I would fit better into the healthy living community and I agreed.

I will learn more about this as I go along but obvisouly my goal with my blog in general is to ENCOURAGE, EDUCATE and INSPIRE so if I can do that for a few more people then I will consider it a success. I just want people to know that if I can do it then anyone can. I turned my life around from where I was...miserable, to now feeling very confident and energized and proud of who I am. I want that for others regardless if I personally know them or not.

AWESOME! I know you have helped me so much personally and I am sure that a lot of others find you motivating as well, so really you are a perfect fit!
So not to be a total downer, but I got that same email as well. I'm not completely sure it's not a scam. I'm not sure how I'm considered a "health blogger", as a bunch of my recipes call for, oh I don't know, like a stick of butter. Looking into "Geoffrey Rutledge" I came up with this link:

I'd be interested to see how it turns out and what information you have about wellsphere. Let me know!
