COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON..It's almost here!!!
I can't believe that 15 weeks ago I set out on a journey that I really wasn't sure if I could do but thought I would fake it till I make it and here I am about to run my 2nd ever half marathon. I mean really, a few years ago I was miserable in my own skin at almost and over for a few years of 200 pounds and now I am in the 150's and A RUNNER!!! WOW!! I am just proof that if you make up your mind and have a little bit of belief that you can do anything. Fear of not being able to do it is the only thing that will hold you back and I didn't let FEAR GET IN MY WAY and I AM DARN PROUD OF THAT!!
This weekend I am headed to Nasvhille, TN to meet Corinne from Phit-N-Phat and several other PNP'ers and I could not be more excited about that. Then I get to participate in the Country Music Marathon which looks like it is going to be an adventure of a lifetime for me. There are going to be bands at every mile along with thousands of cheerleaders and spectators along the course. Corinne has done this half marathon before and said there are so many people that it can take you close to 45 minutes to just make it from your place in line to the actual start line. CRAZY I SAY!! I cannot imagine what this is going to be like. I simply can't wait to experience it.
My plan for this week is to:
Monday - run 3 miles and do 20 minutes of strength training
Tuesday - abs and push ups
Wednesday - run 3 miles and 20 minutes of strength training
Thursday and Friday = day of rest (DOR) before the big race
Saturday - the COUNTRY MUSIC HALF MARATHON!! WOOT WOOT!
Sunday - DOR
