Nothing like a Monday off work

I LOVE long weekends. There is just something about not having to get up on a Monday morning and head to work that is just AWESOME!! Not nearly as bad to come to work on Tuesday morning knowing I just have to work for 4 days instead of the dreaded 5 day work week.

I had a great weekend. I relaxed, played with the girls, took a nap, slept in one day, cleaned my house really good, played golf with the fam, had some family over for a cookout and played outside. It was just so nice to not have to go anywhere and not have anything on the agenda unless it just came up.

My food was average. I did really good about 70% of the time. I enjoyed a great splurge mexican meal and then I enjoyed some potatoes cooked on the grill with lots of butter and some sour cream and some dessert last night. Believe it or not I ate my first fast food in a really long time. We went to McD's and I got a hamburger happy meal w/ small fry and a water. It was just enough and I was able to stay in a decent calorie range. It was fine but I don't miss fast food in the least. I am thankful that I don't really like it and it is not difficult for me at all to not eat it. I was able to maintain control and that is a huge reward.

I did not do any formal exercise though but that is o.k. I am fine with it. I have 3 days planned of exercise for this week.

I am drinking my water today and just staying on track w/ my food.

Hey Dawn. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Hey, I am trying to do this couch to 5 k thing. It suggests at least 3 days a week of running. Is that enough do ya think? If so, I am gonna start focusing on 3 days a week. I have been trying to do 5 (M-F), but that is not realistic long term. You know how it is with small kids. Just wondering what your opinion is. Thanks, talk to ya later.

Hey, thanks for the info. I have been obsessing about exercising 5 days a week, and I just don't think it is practical to do long term. I know myself and I will burn out. I would love any suggestions you have on strength training. Thanks again for your help.
