11 days!!! Doing better.
Quick check in:
I am 11 days away from the marathon. OMG!!! I can't believe it. I know I keep saying that but I am just amazed that it is almost here. I have thought about this for 6 months and the day is finally quickly approaching. You know how you think something will never get here and then BOOM it does.
My knee is doing better it seems. I ran on it yesterday morning and it only bothered me one time and it wasn't bad. I am doing better about icing it more consitently and that is making a big difference I do believe. I will continue to do that for sure up until the day.
I went to the chiro on Monday and I got a good report. I was obviouly concerned about my knee for long term use and he said that I just have mild inflamation and with some rest it will completely heal. Then he can tell me what I need to do to strengthen other muscles so that this tendon does not do this again hopefully. It is just from overuse. He asked if I have ever in my life run like this and I haven't. I have done 3 other half marathons in the past year BUT I did 2 of them last April (early and late April) then I quit running pretty much for about 4 months so I had major rest time but now I have been running consistently for 6 months so that is why I am having this issue. So, in time it will be fine and I will be able to do my beloved squats, lunges, burpees and mountain climbers that will help me shed the fat. WOOT!!!
ok ya'll, I am busy busy at work so I must get to it. I will keep you updated as the days continue to count down.

Good luck on the marathon. After I lose some weight I really want to do a marathon. It's a personal goal. :) Great blog.
