ONE DAY!!! THIS IS IT!!
WOW!!! It is really here. In less than 24 hours I will almost be done with my very first FULL MARATHON!!! I cannot wait to cross that finish line.
We came to Conway last night and headed to a friends house and were able to meet up with my Phit-N-Phat friends. Several of them are in town to run the marathon relay. They were all so GREAT!! Truly, just fantastic people. A few of them I have met before but 3 of them I have not so that was such a treat.
Jess, Chloe and I have had breakfast and we are showered and getting ready to head to Mary's house and just hang out and we are going to watch the movie "Spirit of the Marathon". How appropriate, huh? Then we will just hang out there until about 7 this evening then head home to get ready for tomorrow morning.
J had planned to go down to Hot Springs to watch the Fayetteville High School boys/girls basketball teams in the state championship game. Well, there is horse racing in Hot Springs too and his parents just so happen to be there today also SO he realized he could do both so he has headed South and is going to the horse races then to the basketball games. He is excited. Love him some horse races.
Well, I am getting a little bit nervous. Not too bad but a tad. Just trying not to think about how long we will be running tomorrow. The weather is still looking good so that is a major plus. I am ready though, ready as I will ever be.
Get this, so I might have told you that my parents are coming down in the morning and bringing Lizzie with them and then now my in-laws are coming too. Isn't that SO AWESOME!! I feel so loved. So honored that they would want to come watch me achieve this milestone. I am sure there will be tears. I am just thrilled that they all want to support me and are willing to travel to do it. Not everyday you get to see your daughter cross the finish line of a marathon, right?
ok, I better quit rambling and get ready to go. I will try to post tomorrow after the race and let you know how great it was.
