6 days!!!! The final week!

WOW!! It really is upon me. 6 months ago when I said "I am doing this" I never dreamed it would come this fast. I am glad though. I am glad it is here and in one week from now I can say that I HAVE RUN A MARATHON!!! I still can't wrap my mind around that. I better believe it though b/c it is about to happen.

I had my last longish run on Saturday and it was only 6 miles. It went GREAT!! I pushed it and finished with an average of an 11 minute mile which is pretty fast for me considering it was over 3 miles. I can do 3 miles in that time often but anything over 3 miles I usually slow it down a little. I just wanted to push myself a little harder and frankly I wanted to get it over with. I felt great during and after the run and my knee is doing really well. Those prayers are paying off, keep them coming. It bothered me a few times during the first 1 1/2 miles then after that it never bothered me again. I am so relieved.

This week I just need to do three - 3 mile runs. I did one this morning and then I will do antoher either Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Thursday. Of course the time change is throwing me for a loop. It is so hard to get up in the mornings anyway and now it is EVEN HARDER until I adjust to the time change. I need to try to make myself go to bed earlier at night. That is one of my goals for the week to be in bed no later than 10 and 9:30 would be better.

I need to start making my list of stuff that I need for the weekend so I have time to get anything that I don't have.

Oh, and I am eating better this week, last week was a free for all, my eating was really out of control. I have drawn back in the reigns though and am on a better path.

very excited for you! glad to hear the knee is acting nicely! you are almost there - and you will do awesome on your race!
Dawn, I do have a Bodybugg and love it! I wear it all the time except when I get wet (showers, swimming) and when I go to bed.

It tracks my calories spent, steps, amount of activity time, yesterday's stats and daily goals. That's just on my cool little watch that goes with it! The web site keeps track of even more and every day I just download my Bugg.

It's a pretty cool gadget for a geek like me. :)
