First, let me say that I liked it and I will do it again. But, probably not until I get done with training for my half marathon. I am just a huge fan of running and not much can take its place. The only thing so far that I enjoy as much as running is a tough step aerobics class. I did realize after the fact, well this morning actually that I should have pushed myself harder b/c I could have handled it. I really didn't know what to expect and how it worked and I wanted to make sure I made it through the class but now I realize I could have upped the intensity and been fine. I could feel my legs burning while I was doing it and so I felt like I was working hard but then when I was done after 40 minutes I had just burned 300 calories and then today my legs aren't sore at all. HAHA which is kind of disappointing to me. Of course since I run I have pretty good leg muscles but I thought I was working other muscles and surely they would be sore today but they aren't. Hmmm, that is kind of a mystery to me. So next time I will push myself harder and I will keep up with the instructor the entire time b/c I think I could do it. It was a good workout though and I am glad I did it and I will do it again in the future.
My next venture out will be my first yoga class next Tuesday. I am looking forward to giving it a try b/c I have heard how good it is for you.
