***SIZE 6 ALERT - SIZE 6 ALERT***
Here is the post I made to my family over at Phit-N-Phat:
Yes, you read it right DAWN can wear a SIZE SIX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the background:
Last summer I started PNP in mid-June, well I got to know Lorie a little bit b/c she lived in Conway with Jess and Jess and I are friends so I was in need of some new pants b/c my 14's were getting big and I was in 12's and I obviously was going to be going down in size as time went on. Well, our little Lorie had some pants to give away that were to big for her. So in October when Jess and I ran our first 10K she brought up these clothes that Lorie had for me. Well, there were a few size 8's and a few size 6's, well at the time I was in a 12 and some 10's and weighed 160 pounds. So of course none of them fit. I thought to myself "I will put them at the top of the closet and someday I will get into the 8's and probably not the 6's". I honestly thought I would keep them and then I could sale them in a garage sale. HAHA
So now to this afternoon after work:
I have been feeling much slimmer from my clean diet and my working out so I thought "I am just going to try on those pants at the top of the closet to see if they are closer to fitting. Remember I am just 10 pounds less than I was last October, I now weigh 150. So I put on a pair that said "6P" remember little Lorie is short so she wears petite and I am kind of short too. Well, I am slipping them on and they easily go over my hips then I start to try to button them and I am thinking OH MY GOSH I THINK THEY ARE GOING TO BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And what do you know THEY DO BUTTON. CAN YOU FREAKIN' BELIEVE THIS????????????? I can't.
Moral of the story:
If you read back in time in the PNP archives you will have heard me say this time and time and time again. THE SCALE LIES!!! I am 5'3" and I weigh 150 pounds and I can comfortably put on this size 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It kind of had crossed my mind that down the road in a year or so I might make a goal to try to go down to a size 6 but I really thought I would have to weigh in the 130's. Let's just say I WAS WRONG!!!!!
I was so excited and my little girls were the only ones home with me and they don't get it of course so I called Jess, I knew she was in WW meeting. She texted and said I will call you back. Well, I didn't have Lorie's number so I couldn't call her and I couldn't think of her last name to call information. Then I called Mary b/c I had her number but she wasn't home and then I called Corinne and left a message on her VM then finally my husband came home and of course I did a fashion show so that he could see what a size 6 looked like on his HOT WIFE!!! He was IMPRESSED! Then Jess called me back and I was able to share it with her. I would have called all of you if I would have had your numbers handy. I just had to tell someone. It is not every day that a previously over 200 pounder who wore a size 20 gets into a size 6, OH and I RUN HALF MARATHON'S TOO!
WOOT WOOT WOOT!!!!! This is MAJOR YA'LL!!!! I still can hardly believe it. Very soon I will take a picture of myself in them and post for all to see.
